MARITIME INDUSTRIES WACTHES was born taking a page out of the many defense contractors that originated during the 60's and 70's. Some already creating products for the Department of Defense and some  were allocated watch contracts for Viet Nam. Hence our design brief: Create a timepiece with the aesthetics of the 1960's but with modern touches for everyday use. Therefore combining the classic simple look of a field watch with the use of a day and date calendar. Hence the origin of our newest model the MI A-11. A direct homage to the older A-11 G.I. issued field watches of yesterdays.
